The Mission of Safe Site Youth Development, Inc. is to provide a high-quality, safe, healthy, and challenging learning environment for children ages six weeks to 12 years old. Safe Site is committed to enhancing the development of the “whole child” and cultivating family and community involvement while focusing on the socio-ecological needs of the child. We encourage each child to achieve their own desires while establishing positive values. Safe Site has been in existence for more than 20 years, is a licensed, 501(C)3 non-profit center located at 1716 Los Lentes Rd. N.E., in Los Lunas, New Mexico. Safe Site provides extended hours (M-F, 6:00 AM – midnight); “Parent Watch” (computerized monitoring system for parents/guardians); transportation; nutritionally sound meals and snacks; and accepts CYFD subsidized childcare assistance.
Safe Site Youth Development, Inc. is enthusiastic about offering the New Mexico PreK program for four year olds that meet the age requirement by 12:01 a.m. on September 1, and are not age-eligible to attend kindergarten. We offer one extended day program from 8:00am-2:00pm Monday through Friday. The program is designed to provide a seamless transition into kindergarten and utilizes a play-based curriculum to ensure “school readiness”. Wrap around childcare is also available for before and after PreK.
