Kids Campus is a ten month early childhood education and pre-school program that is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. located on the SFCC campus. Wrap-around service is available year round from 7:30 to 5:30 daily including Fridays. The program has 8 classrooms – one Pre K, two early Pre Ks, and five additional classrooms for 2 month olds to 3 year olds. Meals are prepared on site, are served family style, and include breakfast, lunch, and snack.
Kids Campus at Santa Fe Community College is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). We are a laboratory school for early childhood and teacher education for central and northern New Mexico.
We believe each child is unique and understand the importance of building relationships with his or her family. Our team is sensitive and responsive to each child’s interests, needs, and abilities. Children are encouraged to be active and curious in play, development, and learning.
Learning areas in the bright, spacious classrooms include home living, discovery and science, blocks and gross motor, literacy, creative expression and art, math and manipulatives, music, dramatic play, sensory enrichment, and hands-on exploration. All children play outdoors on three different age-appropriate playgrounds which incorporate organic materials and nature play.
