AppleTree Educational Center is located in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. AppleTree was founded in 1999 in response to repeated requests from Sierra County educators and parents for a center-based child care program. AppleTree is a nationally accredited non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to providing high quality, comprehensive, affordable child care and educational services for Sierra County’s families. Our mission statement is “Meeting the Needs of the Whole Child” (which includes the family and community) through high quality, affordable programs that are accessible to all. Our purpose is to offer a warm, accepting, positive atmosphere in which the whole child can grow-Spiritually, Emotionally, Socially, Creatively, Intellectually and Physically. Our slogan is “Where Learning is Fun!” We believe that children learn best through activities and environment that is age and developmentally appropriate, engage children, and is meaningful. As a result, AppleTree creates an environment for a child that is centered based, provides children choices to a variety of activities and focuses on hands-on learning. We are excited to announce that AppleTree Educational is now offering both extended Pre-K and Early Pre-K. The session for extended Pre-K is Monday-Thursday from 8am-3pm, the session for Extended Early Pre-K is Monday-Thursday from 9am-3pm.
