At the Deming Pre K program our curriculum is designed to provide individualized instruction and to prepare the children for their next educational step in life, kindergarten. We believe that children learn through play and design activities that are appealing to children’s natural sense of wonder and exploration. Children are offered activities in all areas of development – social and emotional, creative, literacy, mathematics, science, and physical development. In addition to the educational activities we provide health and developmental screenings, nutritional snacks and meals to all children to ensure that they are healthy and ready to learn. Parents play an active role in our Pre K program. They make decisions, give ideas and volunteer in our program. Parents also participate on daily home activities that enhance their children’s learning. Our parents have been very active in planning and participating in such activities as our Fall Celebrations and Open House, Literacy Bingo Night, Breakfast with Books, and our annual End of the Year graduations and celebrations. There is something for everyone at the Deming center and we invite you to come and visit to see what we have to offer your child and family. Our morning session is from 8:00 to 11:30 am and our afternoon session is from 12:30 to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
