Little Castle Learning & Development Center, Inc., is a nonprofit preschool and child care center which exists to serve the families of Artesia and surrounding communities.
The Philosophy of our organization is to provide quality child care for parents seeking and holding employment. Our focus is to provide a secure, developmentally appropriate, values based early child care and educational experience which promotes physical, social, and cognitive development of each child. It is our hope that Little Castle will “Inspire Leaders Of Tomorrow” and that graduates of Little Castle take with them a love of learning.
Our Curriculum –consists of utilizing Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies Gold, and the New Mexico Early Learning Guidelines. These are ongoing assessment tools for children in any early childhood program–supporting infants, toddlers and twos; preschool; and kindergarten. These tools allow educators to observe and set appropriate and accurate goals for the children and share them with the families during the Family/educator meetings.
Our Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Services Provided :
New Mexico “Early PreK” services
Child care for children 6 weeks to 12 years including Early and Extended Care for PreK and School age children
Secure Entry & Interior/Exterior Video Monitoring
Curriculum and Play Based Learning Experiences with Computer Access for Children
Electronic Access for Parents to view progress and participate with the Curriculum / lesson plans
Creative Curriculum (Developmental and Social Emotional)
Child Portfolios
Parent Directed Toilet Training with
Laundry Facilities Available
Breakfast, Lunch, and 1 Snack Provided
Menus prepared by Licensed Dietician
Encouraged Family & Community Involvement
Educators with either an AA, BA, or working towards an Early Childhood Education Degree
