Kid’s Kountry Academy is Located a block north of the NMSU Bookstore, making it convenient for university students and the local neighborhood children. Greg and Karen Sowards and Abe and Cody Sowards have been operating this center since 2008. Many of our staff is bilingual. Our teachers are highly trained in Early Childhood. All staff take on-going training classes and truly love working with children. At this location the PreK class is held from 8am- 2pm and has 10 PreK spots. The PreK Teacher has many years of experience with young children and has Bachelor’s degree in Child phycology and is working toward her Early childhood licensure. The PreK classroom is well set-up with toys, child-sized furniture, interest center materials and a cozy book area. Family/Teacher conferences are scheduled throughout the year to discuss progress and to set goals.
