Future Generations Early Concepts Learning Center, located at 2200 North Mitchell Street, in Clovis, New Mexico, is proud to offer the New Mexico Early PreK and PreK Programs. These programs are specifically designed to provide quality childhood learning experiences for three and four-year old children. We are excited to offer this excellent program to our community.
We offer one NM Early 3’s PreK session daily, Monday through Thursday, from 7:45 am to 11:15 am. We offer two NM 4’s PreK sessions, the morning session is from 7:45 to 11:15; the afternoon session is from 11:30 to 3:00, with wrap around daycare offered for a separate charge. Our calendar is based in conjunction with the Clovis Municipal Schools for parental convenience.
Our curriculum, the New Mexico PreK Early Learning Guidelines and Essential Indicators, is designed to meet the individual needs of each child. Our PreK teachers strive to develop lesson plans which include variety as well as developmentally appropriate activities including outdoor activities. The teacher/student ratio for our PreK classroom is one to ten. Our PreK classroom is organized into specific areas including dramatic play, math and manipulatives, science and sensory, music and movement, block and accessories, art and writing and library. Breakfast is served to our morning students, and lunch is served to our afternoon students. Nutritious snacks are also served daily.
Parental involvement is most important to our PreK program. Our teachers meet with the parents of each child to discuss progress as well as individual needs and goals. We also host open houses, and parents are welcome and encouraged to visit our program.
