Little Learner’s NM Pre-K program is located at 22 Algodones Rd., Peralta, NM. We serve 3 & 4 Year-olds in the Los Lunas, Valencia County, and South Valley areas. Our sessions run Monday-Thursday from 9:00-3:00 pm. We also serve children ages 6 weeks-12 years, and accept CYFD childcare subsidy funding. We are a 4-Star high-quality center participating in FOCUS. Our hours are 6:30-6:00 pm.
We have been with the NM PreK program since its inception in 2005. We use a combination of Creative Curriculum and the High Scope approach to achieve long-range goals for children in all domains physical, motor, social, emotional, language, and cognitive and to help children develop school readiness skills. Play is at the center of our curriculum and is made interesting and challenging to children. This Center offers a wide variety of play activities, expressive materials and learning experiences not available at home. We provide individualized instruction in a setting where each child can grow at his own pace, according to his own needs.
Our Degreed Teachers are trained to observe and assess each child’s development using the NM Early Learning Outcomes Essential Indicators and Portfolio Collection forms. We believe that our early childhood program will help children to develop valuable socialization skills, and promote the development of problem solving ability.
