The Wright Choice Learning Center is in it’s 30th year of providing care to the children in Valencia County. We have proudly been part of the New Mexico Pre-K for over 10 years. We offer Extended Day Pre-K for 4 year olds. It is a Free program. Our session is Monday thru Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This year, we are proudly able to offer Extended day Early Pre-K for 3 year olds. This program is free as well. We offer Free transportation as well for these programs, Transportation will first be provided to those children in need within our district and open to others outside the district until our route is full.
Wrap around care is also available for those that are in need. (Rates do apply). Our Childcare hours are 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
At The Wright Choice, we believe that children learn best through play and hands on activities in an environment that supports their learning and exploration. Play is essential for children to learn. The Center offers a wide variety of play experiences, expressive materials and learning experiences not available at home. The teachers provide a setting where each child can grow at his/her own pace according to their needs. “High Emphasis” is placed with the total development of the child” socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. We also believe that rules and limits must be clear and consistent.
Finally, we believe that children learn best from staff that are warm, nurturing and well trained in Early Childhood Education and Developmentally Appropriate Practice.
We hope all of our children will develop the self-regulatory skills needed to become self-confident, self-motivated and self-disciplined, and strive to continue to provide our community with the highest standard in early childhood education.
